About Us

winner

welcome to Galaxy

Galaxy was established in August 1995 and became a Guernsey registered company in December 1995. Galaxy is the only resident IT specialist in the Channel Islands that offers a highly secure, confidential and eco-friendly way to dispense of unwanted computer equipment and data.

Over the years the company has expanded into the purchase of end of life and redundant equipment and also the sale or rental of new, used and refurbished servers, network equipment and other components.

In 2012 Galaxy was awarded, and in 2017 re-validated for, the Keep Guernsey Green Award; demonstrating our commitment to protecting our islands’ environments and preserving valuable world resources through recycling. We operate a zero-to-landfill policy; and have achieved accreditation against ISO 9001 Quality Management, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management.

supporting the local community

Community and environment is important to us; and we try to protect the local environment through recycling and our zero-to-landfill philosophy. We have were awarded the Keep Guernsey Green Award in 2012, and were re-validated in 2017.

We also work closely with Guernsey’s Prison, where the inmates disassemble computer hardware components for recycling or reuse. We have also provided them with several computers so they can develop IT skills and produce their own prison magazine in-house.

As an avid runner, our MD Stuart Moseley has recently launched the Guernsey Long Distance Running Club. We have a history of supporting local sports: we provided a two year sponsorship deal for Guernsey squash player Chris Simpson, and have for a number of years assisted in the planning and organisation of the Guernsey Milk Run Half Marathon.
