Galaxy Computer Brokers, the only IT specialist recycling company based in the Channel Islands, is pleased to announce a merger with the Guernsey Recycling Group (GRG).
GRG is a Guernsey based group that specialises in the recycling and recovery of waste. GRG recycle waste grades including paper, cardboard, plastics, metals, electronic equipment, tyres, wood, aggregates, green waste and oil. The group also produces Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF), a residual waste recovered from non-recyclable material, used in Waste to Energy plants as a fuel.
Galaxy Computer Brokers Managing Director, Stuart Moseley, who founded the business twenty years ago, said “I am thrilled to be involved with GRG and look forward to the future expansion of the business. It’s a perfect union of a specialist technology services business with Guernsey’s premier recycling and recovery group.”
Stuart continues; “We believe that our expansion plans will not only benefit the Channel Islands – we are looking to expand into Jersey over the next few months – but also other offshore jurisdictions where many of our clients operate.”
GRG Managing Director, Michael Grime, commented, “Galaxy has built up a globally recognized recycling service for the IT industry which is a fantastic achievement. In an ever-growing sector that demands the most sophisticated and secure destruction and recycling solutions, Galaxy is leading the way. GRG is delighted to join forces with Galaxy, led by Stuart, to assist in growing the company’s services within the Channel Islands and beyond.
This move means that the GRG employs almost 100 staff within the Bailiwick and internationally, and over 60 vehicles – many of which are of a specialist nature and now also includes Galaxy Computer Brokers’ mobile hard disk destruction vehicle.
