Galaxy Computer Brokers has been shortlisted for the local Guernsey Investec Sustainability Award, and BWCI Innovation Award after Judges praised the company’s concern for sustainability and its creative, environmentally-friendly philosophies.
“Being shortlisted for the Guernsey Awards is a great honour,“ says Operations Director Matt Cox. “Entering the competition provided a useful opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved over the past year, and the service we provide. We are proud of the innovative way in which we operate, and the work we do to protect the natural environment. Having this recognised by the Awards judges is fantastic – it helps all our staff feel proud of the work they do.”
Galaxy was invited to give a 20 minute presentation to the Innovation Awards judges in December 2016. The Innovation judges included Alison Ozanne, from the legal firm Walkers; and Stephen Ainsworth, who represented the Awards sponsoring company, BWCI.
Galaxy also gave a presentation to the Sustainability Judges, including Karel Harris, the Managing Director of Sarnia Hotels who won the award in 2015; Stephen Henry, Chief Executive of Investec Private Banking; and Tina Norman Ross, Recycling Officer for the States of Guernsey.
The results of the competition will be announced on Thursday 9th February 2017.
