As a company, are proud to be accredited against ISO 9001:2015 Quality, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental and BS EN 15713:2009 Secure Destruction of Confidential Material Management Standards. Our most recent audit, in Spetember 2017, saw Galaxy successfully re-accredited against all 3 standards, for the third year running.
ISO 9001 is a Quality Management System with a systematic and process driven approach to managing the business. It is designed to support the company in ensuring that Galaxy meets and exceed the needs of our customers, whilst delivering a consistent level of quality and satisfaction.
ISO14001 is an Environmental Management System that provides a systematic and process driven approach to controlling those aspects of our business that has a significant impact on the environment. The system makes business owners and managers be more aware of their environmental responsibilities, including legal and regulatory accountabilities, and being able to manage and control the associated risks.
BS EN15713 Is a Secure Destruction of Confidential Material System that provides a framework of key conditions to be adhered to by Galaxy when destroying confidential information on behalf of our customers. The standard includes a number of conditions such as specific sizes to shred to, and how the destruction is monitored and controlled, as well as the following core aspects:
- Security screening of personnel
- Premises Security
- How sensitive information is collected, retained and transferred
- Security measures during destruction of materials
- Management and control of confidential material destruction
- Traceability of the destruction process
