The Home User

We are receiving an increasing number of enquiries from home users, asking to recycle their mobile phones, tablets, laptops and PC’s securely.

Even if you have just 1 smartphone, we are happy to assist!

Home Users in Guernsey have different options when it comes to reusing or recycling their devices.

Option One: you can take it to the Longue Hougue free of charge. Galaxy CI securely processes all the electrical waste received at the Longue Hougue; however we won’t be able to offer you an Evidence Certificate confirming its secure destruction and recycling.

Option Two: You can contact us directly and ask us to either erase or shred the device, and provide an Evidence Certificate. If the device is erased, you might want to re-use it yourself, sell it on, or sell it to us! We offer competitive rates for used hardware.

Option Three: You can sell you device to schemes that operate in the UK; but we offer the same scheme on island. You are welcome to watch as we erase and test the device, for your own peace of mind.
